In my canvassing during the primary, this subject was the one people most asked about. Many of the hundreds of people I talked with voiced their concerns about what they thought were unwise expenditures. While I understand that spending is a necessity, wise spending must always be the city's goal. I'm sure that with the cooperation of city council, together we can show the citizens that wise fiscal spending will always be our goal. Working in the public sector for 26 years, I know that not always can every financial situation concerning the city be placed before the citizens. Building trust in your city administration and city council that the expenditures of funds are being wisely spent will be my goal.
